Does it work with my camera?

Half Stop sends recipes to every Fujifilm body with an X-Trans IV or X-Trans V sensor, and to recent GFX cameras. All of them work over a USB-C cable; the X100VI also works over Bluetooth.

"Tested" means sending has been checked on that body by hand. On any camera Half Stop hasn't sent to before, it reads the slot first and only writes to it if the layout is the one it expects, then reads every setting back. If a recipe uses a film simulation your camera doesn't have, Half Stop tells you and suggests the closest one it does have.

Sending over USB-C

  1. Use a USB-C cable that carries data. Many phone charging cables only carry power; if the camera isn't found, try another cable.
  2. On the camera, set Network/USB Setting › Connection Setting › PC Connection Mode › USB RAW CONV./BACKUP RESTORE. Half Stop shows you this the first time too.
  3. Plug the camera into your iPhone, switch it on and open Send to camera on any recipe. Allow camera access when iOS asks: that's how apps talk to a camera over USB.

Sending over Bluetooth (X100VI)

  1. In Half Stop, open Settings › Bluetooth.
  2. On the camera, open Network/USB Setting › Bluetooth/Smartphone Setting › Pairing Registration.
  3. Tap Pair and allow it on both. From then on, Send to camera works over Bluetooth whenever the cable isn't plugged in.

A few settings can't be sent over Bluetooth yet: monochrome tint, D-Range Priority and custom white balance. Half Stop lists them on the Sent page so you can set them in the camera's menu. Bluetooth sending for more cameras is being tested.

Older cameras

X-Trans III and earlier bodies (such as the X100F, X-T3, X-T30, X-Pro2 and X-E3) can't take recipes from an app. You can still save every recipe in Half Stop, and each one has a checklist in the same order as your camera's menus, so setting it up by hand is quick.

Help test your camera

Sent a recipe to a camera on this list, or one that isn't on it? Email hello [at] half-stop.app with the camera model and what happened. Every report helps move a camera to "tested".
